Description

Well, let me just say that I'm not very proud of this film. It was done for my Studio class, which is primarily geared towards painting and drawing... but the assignments can be interpreted in any medium. The assignment for this was "red, purple, or black." Yup. That's all we had to work with.

I had a bunch of ideas that didn't end up working out, but basically I wanted to experiment a little with Final Cut Pro's color corrector. So, that's what I did. As a test I think this is pretty successful. As a film I think this is very cheesy. I don't know. I think it's kinda interesting, and there is meaning behind it all... but, this is a little too "artsy" for me.

Basically the movie is about appreciation. Red represents everything the character thinks is beautiful, and he is appreciating the beauty. At first, however, he only chooses to eat the red M&M's, leaving the rest behind and assuming they aren't beautiful. At the end of the film, he is able to see beauty in it, because he is willing to change his view of it. "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder." All M&M's taste the same no matter what their color. Ahem...
