Welp, it's November '04, and I've been working on this film since March. And now, after the good part of a year, I've got about 10% of the visual effects shots completed. If my plot was especially strong, and my actors especially convincing, I would probably spend the next.. year... finishing the movie. But, sadly, I don't even have a finished script, and most of the footage I've shot leaves a lot to be desired. I think my basic plot was pretty good (it's got a huge punchline at the end), but it lacks complexity. And good dialogue.

So, I've given up on the project. I've simply mashed together the special effect clips I've completed, and edited it with music and titles and such. I think the trailer is cooler than the movie would have been. So, I hope you like it!

The Plot

Basically, the movie is about a robot (the main CG element of the film) who is sent to earth inside a meteor. The meteor hits earth, the robot emerges. My brother sees him, runs back home (being chased by the robot), and calls the police. Because they have gotten 5 calls from my neighborhood (the impact of the asteroid must have shaken the earth and stuff....), the police send out some cars to check it out. Ultimately they are too late to do anything-- my brother is chased back to the original impact location. Just as the robot is about to blast him with his mega-ultra-superlaser weapon, it is sqashed and killed by a random meteor, which lands in the same exact place as the first one.
